Web Development

There are many different aspects to programming on the web. There is the layout of the page in HTML, client side programming in a language like JavaScript, plus the many server side environments.

Since I come from the more technical side of web development I don't spend too much time on the basics of layout in HTML. Instead I give tips on layout from a perspective of dynamic information in my HMTL tips.

Using JavaScript to enhance a web page's functionality is an easy way to let users do more work without the inefficiencies of the web browser getting in the way.

Both Perl and VBScript can be used as server side programming environments. I'll leave the debate on which is better for someone else.
